July 27th. We arrived in Santiago today as planned. It really is a beautiful city - much nicer
than I had expected. The cathedral, of
course, is the central attraction but the small streets lined with restaurants
and boutiques are also very lovely. Our
little hotel, the MV Algalia, is delightful.
Nonetheless, the atmosphere here is somewhat odd - as is to be expected
with so many peregrinos crowding into the city.
July 30th. I have left Santiago and am now in the business lounge at Barcelona airport updating this blog and waiting for my flight to Palma de Mallorca. I will stay there for a few days before heading back to Paris and eventually to Canada.
What have I to say about the Camino? It was a wonderful walk - which is what I came for - nothing more, nothing less!
